0330L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 3/23/25
WIND ADVISORY is in effect from 8am until noon today. ELEVATED TO NEAR CRITICAL FIRE DANGER FROM 9AM UNTIL 7PM THIS EVENING.
We are expecting a front to push through the area early this morning shifting winds from the southerly to northerly. At 3 am it was 63 degrees with a south wind at 4 mph. This will change within the next several hours with 20 to 25 mph winds gusting to 45 mph. Use caution while driving and anyone that did any burning yesterday needs to go check for any area that MAY BE SMOLDERING.
There is a low chance for rain around mid-week through the weekend but according to guidance, at least right now, southern Oklahoma has a better chance. We’ll see what happens.
Overall, we’ll be ok so here’s your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Partly sunny and breezy. Highs in the mid-60s. North winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.
Tonight- Partly cloudy in the evening, then clearing. Lows in the upper 30s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming southwest after midnight.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
