0310L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 05/26/24

*WELL, that was exciting yesterday huh? First a severe storm that brought winds around 80 mph and large hail on the western half the county and then 3 tornadic storms were moving towards us and washed out some before arriving but still gave us winds around 80 with large hail throughout the whole county. In addition, we had some localized flooding.

*The first storm came at us from the south and the others from the west. Damage did occur with all of these storms so if you did suffer damage, please let us know. If you have our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app, take pictures, and use the damage report part of the app. If possible, try to remember about what time your damage occurred. If you don’t have the app, email me your info to mike@gcem.org Also take closeup pics of broken tree limbs. Those are important too. DON’T PUT PERSONAL INFO ON SOCIAL MEDIA!

*Overall, we did pretty well so take some deep breaths and relax for the next few days as thunderstorm chances return Tuesday through the rest of the week.

*WEATHER-WISE- today will be clear, windy, and warm. No storms expected. This said, here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny. Highs around 90. West winds 10 to 15 mph, becoming northwest this afternoon.

Tonight-Clear. Lows in the upper 50s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph, becoming north around 5 mph after midnight.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
