0305L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 10/13/24
*COLD FRONT HAS ARRIVED. Temps will be in the low to mid 80s as cooler air filters in as the day progresses. Winds will increase 10-20 mph with higher gusts and the fire danger will be elevated. As you all are aware, we’re in an Extreme Drought now and with Dew Point temps in the upper 30s later today along with relative humidity in the low 20s, it won’t take much to get a fire going. If you see smoke or fire, call 911 immediately. We also ask that you refrain from ANY type of burning today.
*No rain in the forecast until possibly late week and those chances are low at this time. Winds will become gusty as the week progresses so again keep your eyes peeled for smoke out there and watch for any suspicious activity.
*Overall, we’ll be ok. Here’s your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Sunday- Sunny. Highs in the mid-80s. Northeast winds 15 to 20 mph.
Sunday Night- Partly cloudy in the evening, then becoming mostly clear. Lows in the upper 40s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph.
*Be sure to download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. You’re not prepared without it!
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
