0425L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK AND INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-9/22/19

1- We have received, by my gauges, 1.5 inches of rainfall and we’ll see more throughout the day. An upper wave and cold front will affect the area today and tonight thus the MARGINAL threat for severe weather this afternoon. If storms do occur, wind and hail will be the biggest threats. We are also in a FLOOD WATCH UNTIL 7PM TONIGHT. Be careful in ANY AREA prone to flooding.

2- For the up and coming week, chances for rain will be in the forecast through at least Thursday evening. This could change but either way; we will be cooler than last week.

3- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Sunday-Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 1pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Mostly cloudy with a high near 80. South wind 10 to 15 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Sunday Night-Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming clear, with a low around 59. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable after midnight.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!!
