0310L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 9/22/24

*It rained! Not much but enough to knock the dirt down some. We do expect more during the day into tonight so we’ll see how much more falls during this event. A cold front will push into and through the area today bringing much cooler air. Highs this week will average between 75-80 degrees and lows will be in the low to mid 50s. I’m ok with that.

*There is a MARGINAL RISK for severe weather today as the front pushes through the area. We are on the northern periphery of where that will be so if you are traveling today along the I-40 corridor, pay attention to weather conditions especially this afternoon.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Showers likely with a chance of thunderstorms. Much cooler with highs in the mid-70s. Temperature falling into the upper 60s this afternoon. North winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.

Tonight- Cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Less humid with lows in the mid-50s. North winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

*Be sure to download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. You’re not prepared without it.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
