0315L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 9/21/24

*We had a mini heat wave this week and later tonight a cold front will push through the area. This will bring a good chance for rain and much cooler weather. There is a chance for thunderstorms later today into tonight so expect the possibility for some hail, heavy rainfall, and strong winds. We will be in a marginal risk area on Sunday.

*The above said, high temps after today look like we’ll be in the upper 70s to low 80s next week and lows will be in the 50s. We’ll see what happens.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Mostly sunny. Hot with highs around 100. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight- Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms. Lows in the upper 60s. South winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming north after midnight. Chance of rain 50 percent.
