0330L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 04/18/24
*The cold front is heading our way and should be in the area by mid-morning. Winds will be gusty out of the south until frontal passage when they will become northerly at 20-30 mph gusting upwards of 40 mph. No rain is expected with this front in our area. Late Friday evening into Saturday, we MIGHT have a chance for rainfall as a trough will have pushed through the area from the southwest. We’ll see what happens for sure but the southern half of the state is more favorable for rainfall. We’ll take whatever sprinkles we can get.
*Overall, it will be windy, dusty, and hopefully no major fires occur. Here is your forecast for today from the NWS/NORMAN;
Thursday- Partly sunny, with a high near 72. Windy, with a south winds 17 to 22 mph becoming north northwest 23 to 28 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 41 mph.
