0335L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK AND INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MGMT-1/2/2020
1- We had several fires yesterday and with those occurring on a holiday, response was very quick. The winds didn’t get as high as the forecast stated but I’m not complaining. Good job to our firefighters on both sides of the county.
2- Weatherwise for today, the fire danger does lessen some but can still occur so be careful. There is a very low chance for some light rain so we’ll see how that works out later this morning and this afternoon into tonight.
3- GARFIELD COUNTY EM. You should already have this notification app. Your level of preparedness depends on your ability to get information. This is one of those paths. PREPAREDNESS=RESILIENCE.
4- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Thursday- Slight chance of sprinkles after noon. Partly sunny with a high near 51. Calm wind becoming north 5 to 10 mph in the morning.
Thursday Night- Slight chance of sprinkles before 9pm. Cloudy with a low around 33. North wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!!
