0320L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-01/26/23

GARFIELD COUNTY EM is our notification/preparedness app. You’re not prepared without it.

*Most of the snow has melted and we’ll warm up today through most of Saturday when a cold front with ARCTIC air comes rumbling in. We will have several days where high temps will be BELOW freezing and overnight lows will be in the teens, after frontal passage. Folks need to prepare for this now.

*If you all remember, we went through a cold spell in the November/December timeframe and I stated we had another one coming. This is it. It may not be as bad but it will be very cold. If anyone has issues with a furnace, drafty windows and or doors, you have time to get them fixed. Do what you can to stay warm. I will have more info tomorrow but you can go to this link and get lots of ideas- https://www.weather.gov/safety/winter

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny. Highs in the mid-40s. West winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight- Clear, cold with lows in the upper 20s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
