0310L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-01/25/23

* WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 0600L THIS MORNING. Light snow is still possible in the area. Hazards include slick driving conditions especially on bridges and overpasses and visibility might be restricted by light snow.

*We ended up with just under 4 inches of snow. As of around 1530L yesterday, we had 3.75 inches. There has been light snow off and, on all night, and with temps just above freezing, snow melt wouldn’t allow for a better measurement. Also, the soil temps are in the mid to upper 30s thus the melting issue. Personally, we may have been over the 4 inch mark but again, surface conditions were melting snow as it fell yesterday. Either way, we received good moisture.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Mostly cloudy. Highs in the upper 30s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

Tonight- Mostly cloudy in the evening, then clearing. Cold with lows in the lower 20s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.

DRIVE CAREFULLY AND HAVE A GOOD DAY!
