0405L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-7/22/21

1- We continue to warm up and winds are on the rise, at least during the day. So far, rain is not in our forecast but over the weekend there “might” be a low chance. We’ll see what happens. Overall, humidity will be creeping back up and temps will continue to rise so expect the heat index this weekend to rise into the low 100s. Sounds to me like the lake, a pool, or a water park should be on the list of activities.

2- Next week, it appears that actual summer will arrive with hot temps. This is because of high pressure moving into the area. See the graphic attached from Dodge City. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Increasing clouds. Highs in the lower 90s. South winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight-Clear. Lows in the upper 60s. South winds 10 to 15 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY AND STAY HYDRATED!
