0315L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 6/12/24
*Today begins with even warmer weather with highs in the mid 90’s. As harvest continues and the land becomes bare, the sunshine is reflected, instead of absorbed, off the surface thus being a “factor” in the warming process. This is not to mention a low level thermal ridge expanding to the northeast over the area. Basically, it’s going to get hotter.
*Overall, we’ll be ok, just a bit toasty between now and the weekend when thunderstorms in NW Oklahoma return. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Sunny. Highs in the mid-90s. South winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
Tonight- Clear. Lows around 70. South winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
AS STATED YESTERDAY, in the event you can’t find our information on social media, you can find it on our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app under GCEM Blog and on our website at https://gcem.org
You should also be able to find it on the CITY CONNECT app for the City of Enid too. It appears that several entities are having issues for some reason so I wanted to interject this just in case it happens to us too.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
