0330L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-10/01/2020

1-GARFIELD COUNTY EM is our notification app. If you don’t have it, you will need it and you’re NOT PREPARED without it.

2- Noticeably hazy today with abundant sunshine. The haze comes from the southeast Wyoming area and a few other areas where that smoke can get into northwest flow aloft.

3- For our area, windy today with some gusts upwards of 20-25 mph. The FIRE DANGER is slowly increasing as area firefighters found out yesterday just east of Garber. Garber, Covington, Fairmont, and Breckinridge Fire battled a roughly 90-acre fire but was able to contain it after a few hours. Foliage is drying out so be extremely careful if doing any burning and don’t throw cigarettes out the window either.

4-Overall, we’ll be ok so enjoy the sunny, hazy, and slightly windy day. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Mostly sunny. Cooler, haze. Highs in the lower 70s. North winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight- Clear. Lows in the lower 40s. Northeast winds around 10 mph in the evening becoming light and variable.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
