0400L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK & INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-10/17/19

1- The FIRE DANGER is slowly increasing for the area so please be careful and if you see smoke out there, call 911 and they’ll dispatch the appropriate agencies for response. Don’t assume it’s already been done. We’ll be windy and warm through today and tomorrow before another front comes in early Saturday morning shifting winds around to the north.

2- There is another icon on our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. It’s Ask The Director. It’s similar to our Damage Report icon but shorter. If you have SPECIFIC questions, I’ll have answers.

3- There was a question on a post of mine last night about an ambulance on scene at the fire last night. Miller EMS which has an ambulance based in Garber responds to fires in support of the firefighters when they are available. This is a good thing in the event someone gets hurt. You see them more often than not in the eastern half of the county.

4- Overall, a good day so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Thursday- Sunny with a high near 77. South winds 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Thursday Night-Mostly clear with a low around 53. South winds 15 to 20 mph.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!

MIKE
