0420L-TUESDAY UPDATE FROM ENID/GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-4/10/18

1-FREEZE WARNING FROM 0400 UNTIL 0900 LOCAL TIME, THEN WARMER TODAY.

2- Winds will crank up today and become an issue for the next several days. For those with allergies, grab your goggles and masks and hope for the best. There will be a lot of dirt in the air so be careful where you drive.

3- Speaking of the wind, the FIRE DANGER will be climbing this week possibly into the critical category. Report ANY SMOKE OR FIRE TO 911, so we can get the proper response moving.  This risk will continue into the weekend.

4- Temps the next several days will be warmer. What was that?? WARMER. Some of you wanted warmer weather and it may be what some would consider HOT. We may see temps near 90 on Thursday. Don’t worry though as the temps will fall again over the weekend and we may see a chance for rain on Friday. I am going to wait to say anything more on this since guidance isn’t real clear on that yet.

5- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Tuesday-Areas of frost before 9am. Sunny with the high near 70. Light and variable wind becoming south 10 to 15 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Tuesday Night-Mostly clear, with a low around 51. South wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

HAVE A SUPER DAY!!

MIKE
