0330L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 4/18/23

*ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER TODAY AND CRITICAL ON WEDNESDAY. There is a low chance for thunderstorms out west later today along with the fire danger. We will be in a SLIGHT RISK area for severe weather on Wednesday along with a critical fire danger after the dryline passes through the area. We’ll keep an eye out and send out advisories if needed.

*NO CONTROLLED BURNING AS WINDS WILL EXCEED 15 MPH. Winds will be nominal this morning but increase this afternoon so, if you all see any smoke or fire, call 911 so the proper response can be sent.

Today- Sunny, breezy with highs in the lower 80s. South winds 15 to 25 mph. Gusts up to 40 mph this afternoon.

Tonight- Partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then mostly cloudy after midnight. Breezy with lows in the lower 60s. South winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. Chance of rain 10 percent.
