0330L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK AND INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-4/26/22

1- FIRST, I would like to thank the following for their help and professionalism and everyone’s quick response on our accident yesterday afternoon at HWY 132/45. Teamwork and coordination is why we all work together so well. Drummond Fire, Enid Fire, Hillsdale-Carrier Fire, Kremlin Fire, Lahoma Fire, Life EMS, OHP, GCSO, Medi-Flight, and Air Evac.

2- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Tuesday-Sunny. Highs in the lower 70s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday Night-Mostly clear. Lows in the mid-40s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

3- Temps will warm up today into the low 70s along with winds becoming south-southeasterly. Humidity will drop this afternoon but with modest winds, the Fire Danger will be ELEVATED. Anyone working with anything related to fire, please be careful even as foliage is returning to the green, the dead foliage is still out there. Critical to Extreme conditions will exist later in the week along with a severe weather threat by Thursday. We’ll see what happens.

4- Overall, we’ll be ok.  RAIN would be nice later in the week. Maybe we’ll get lucky and receive some. The graphics attached were not updated at the time I posted them but they are close.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
