FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-TUESDAY 8/8/17
Since the forecast looks good with mostly clear skies, we will test our storm siren network in Enid and Breckenridge at 12 NOON. Remember that storm sirens are warning devices for folks “outside”. In most cases, you won’t hear them inside unless you live near one. PLEASE let me know if the siren nearest you is operational. If you have our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app, send us a DAMAGE REPORT. It works so use it. Here’s some advice on the reports: if you utilize this feature, make sure you fill in the blanks. Don’t use “no name” for your name and address. Those are deleted. CREDIBILITY is important to me. Your info is safe with us. You may also send me an email at these two addresses mike@gcem.org or mhonigsberg@enid.org I thank you in advance for the help.
Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Tuesday-Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. East northeast wind 6 to 9 mph.
Tuesday Night-20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 66. East wind 6 to 9 mph.
HAVE A GREAT DAY AND STAY SAFE
