0345L-TUESDAY UPDATE FROM ENID/GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-12/18/18

1- Main issue appears to be the FIRE DANGER. As stated last week, foliage is dead and we are abnormally dry. With lowered humidity and dew points, be EXTREMELY CAREFUL DOING ANYTHING RELATED TO FIRE.

2- Winter starts on the 21st. It’s important that you actually take the time and prepare for the coming months. I know the hype is out of control when a snowflake may appear BUT on the personal level, you should overcome all of that and go here:  https://www.weather.gov/safety/winter  click on everything  read and apply what you learn and you’ll be pretty much prepared. All that’s needed is your willingness to apply yourselves to some reading and thinking. SEE!! Preparedness isn’t that hard.

3- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Tuesday-Mostly cloudy, with a high near 57. South wind 6 to 11 mph.

Tuesday Night-Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39. South wind around 7 mph.

FINALLY- DON’T THROW CIGARETTE BUTTS OUT THE WINDOW OF YOUR VEHICLE. THAT CAN START FIRES WHEN CONDITIONS ARE DRY.

HAVE A SUPER DAY!!
