0305L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-12/07/21

1- The roller coaster in temps will continue and rain chances are pretty much out of the picture. We are extremely dry and we are in a MODERATE DROUGHT. This will probably get worse before it gets better so keep an eye out for smoke and fire and call 911 immediately so the proper response can be sent. This is vital especially when the wind is blowing. A quick hint, we have the equipment to put fires out so don’t hurt yourself by getting burned trying to do this yourself. Get us coming by calling 911 and then evaluate before you try to jump in there. We don’t want you to get hurt.

2- I hope everyone has unhooked hoses from outside faucets since overnight temps will be below freezing. Broken pipes due to freezing are no laughing matter. Protect those pipes by unhooking hoses and covering those faucets. Overall, we’ll be ok so keep a coat in the car or truck. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Tuesday-Increasing clouds, with a high near 50. South southeast wind 10 to 15 mph with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tuesday Night-Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 27. East southeast wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.

FINALLY, remember PEARL HARBOR and the sacrifices that were made that day.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
