0400L-FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-TUESDAY-1/2/18

After a very bitter cold weekend, we will start a gradual warmup. Overnight temps will be in the teens and highs will climb above freezing hopefully by tomorrow. We may even reach the upper 40’s by next Sunday.

Were you prepared for this arctic cold? If not remember that it’s still winter and it just might happen again. Take what you have learned and apply it next time so hopefully those issues don’t happen again.

Here is your forecast for today from the NWS/NORMAN;

Tuesday-Cloudy then gradually becoming sunny with a high near 24. Wind chill values as low as -2. Light and variable winds becoming southwest around 6 mph in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night-Mostly clear with a low around 15. Light and variable winds becoming west southwest 5 to 10 mph in the evening.

STAY SAFE AND WARM
