0345L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-1/5/21

1- Another nice day but with possibly, some gusty winds. After today, we may see a chance for rain Wednesday and another chance for some sort of precipitation over the weekend. We’ll see how that plays out. Not too bad for the wintertime.

 2- The FIRE DANGER should remain low around the area but use extreme caution while working with anything related to fire. Several folks weren’t prepared very well for the last snowstorm and colder temps. I understand this to a point. The main complaint was I didn’t know what to do. That said, I referred them to our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. People, it’s loaded with a lot of great information and as we continue to modify the app, it will only get better. If you don’t have our app, TAKE THE SHORT TIME NEEDED TO DOWNLOAD IT and read through the information. Then you’ll know what to do. IT’S NOT HARD!

3- Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Mostly sunny, with a high near 56. South wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph.

Tonight- Mostly cloudy with a low around 33. South southeast wind 5 to 15 mph becoming north northwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
