0305L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 7/23/24

*The warmup continues with highs forecast to be in the upper 80’s. There is a slight chance for a few showers this morning and again this afternoon with the passing of a low pressure trough. Chances are less than 20% so our drought conditions look to get worse as we move forward in time. Winds will be nominal meaning that they should be under 5-10 mph. Those wanting to do controlled burning should do so this week as winds will increase quite a bit this weekend.

*Overall, we appear to be ok so continue to enjoy the cooler days and nights as this will end this weekend as temps begin to reach the triple digits. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Mostly sunny. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Highs in the upper 80s. South winds around 5 mph, becoming southeast around 5 mph this afternoon. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight- Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 60s. Southeast winds around 5 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
