0400L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-7/6/21
1- Warm and humid conditions will continue along with light southerly winds. We are still under that “chance” for showers and thunderstorms this week. A cold front will push in on Wednesday bringing a chance for rain and then that chance returns through the weekend. This said, here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today-Mostly sunny. Highs around 90. Southeast winds around 10 mph.
Tonight- Lows in the upper 60s. Southeast winds around 10 mph in the evening becoming light and variable.
For the next several weeks, I will be keeping all these posts short and sweet and basically to the point. Additional information will be added as needed. I am working on a newer preparedness program that might actually get folks to act “before” an event instead of waiting for it to occur and then wonder what to do. Unfortunately, folks will continue to wait because IT WON’T HAPPEN TO THEM! We’ll see what we can come up with to change this mindset. Remember, it’s up to YOU to take care of you and your family. Don’t depend on anyone or anything else. I hope to give you some more ideas and tools to use in this process.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
MIKE
