0310L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-5/17/22

1- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this morning, then mostly sunny this afternoon. Highs in the mid-90s. South winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight-Partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 60s. South winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

2- The heat returns this afternoon and it appears we’ll be under summer conditions for the rest of the week. Rain chances increase some during our overnight hours but storms will struggle to get going and or maintain themselves as we will have a strong cap for them to overcome. Storms, if they can get going will come from the panhandles and move east overnight.

3- Overall, we’ll be ok so continue to work on your preparedness plans. You’ll realize how important this is as we continue into the summer months.
