0350L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK & UPDATE FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MGMT-11/19/19

1- THE VANCE WSR-88D WEATHER RADAR WILL BE DOWN THIS MORNING FROM ROUGHLY 7 TO 9 AM FOR MAINTENANCE. It should be back up after that time.

2- Our erratic fall weather just shows that even Mother Nature isn’t sure if she is ready for colder weather. I feel we’re being teased. Either way, I know you all get tired of hearing and seeing this word PREPAREDNESS but it’s important for your well-being in an extreme situation. I won’t harp about this but you should at least read through our Preparedness Guide located under DOCS on the gcem.org website. You will find good info under “Your Emergency” on our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app too. Without either one, you’re NOT prepared.

3- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Tuesday-Sunny with a high near 68. Light and variable wind becoming south southeast 5 to 15 mph in the morning.

Tuesday Night-Partly cloudy with lows around 50. South winds 10 to 15 mph gusting to 21 mph.

Keep your eyes peeled for smoke and fire and report sightings to 911. HAVE A SUPER DAY!!

MIKE
