0245L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 10/21/25

No advisories today but it should be a really nice day very similar to Sunday. Wednesday may be very much the same. This said, starting possibly Thursday afternoon through Sunday, we have a chance for showers and thunderstorms depending on the track of the next storm system. No major details yet but just get your yardwork done by Wednesday evening then you can sit back and enjoy the rain, IF we see any. The fire danger will slowly increase as we move towards the end of the month. After our first freeze, whenever that will actually occur this year, the danger will increase dramatically. I plan on doing several short videos concerning winter weather, the fire danger, and overall preparedness before I step down on December 31st so hang in there and more info is coming. By the way, enjoy the next 2 days!

Overall, we’ll be ok, so here is your countywide forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:

Tuesday- Sunny. Highs in the lower 70s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday Night- Clear. Lows in the mid-40s. West winds around 5 mph, becoming southwest around 5 mph after midnight.

GARFIELD COUNTY EM is our notification and preparedness app. If you don’t have it, you’re NOT prepared! REMEMBER that each day’s post appears under the GCEM Blog icon on the app.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
