0315L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-10/24/23

GARFIELD COUNTY EM is our notification app. NWS advisories and warnings come through automatically in detail. Just remember, you’re not prepared without it.

*RAIN is possible and likely as we go through the day. The remnants of Hurricane Norma is bringing tropical moisture with it and will be a very efficient rain producer as it traverses the area. We look to receive around an inch of rain depending on the storm track. As it looks right now, the I-44 corridor will be the trajectory for this system. Just remember that storm systems waver so we could receive more rain if it shifts a little.

*Later this week we will deal with a few fronts that will eventually bring much colder air into the area. Monday and Halloween on Tuesday look to be cold. You know its coming so get prepared! We’ll see how this mess pans out.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Tuesday- A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the lower 70s. South winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of rain near 100 percent.

Tuesday Night- Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the mid-60s. South winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
