0335L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 9/27/22

1-Warm and clear conditions for the day. We do have another weak front that will push into the area sometime later this evening bringing northeast winds with it but no precipitation. Temps this afternoon will top out possibly into the low 90s. Dryer air will creep into the area and with humidity low to start with, we’ll bottom out with humidity around 15-20%. Winds 10-15 mph will be gusty upwards of 25 mph.

2- As you all are aware, low humidity and gusty winds lead to ELEVATED Fire Weather conditions so I would ask that no controlled burning occur today. The NWS has issued a statement to this. Elevated Fire Weather conditions will exist between 1 and 6 pm. Use extreme caution if doing anything related to fire.

3- Keep an eye out for suspicious activity. OVERALL, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Sunny. Highs in the lower 90s. South winds 10 to 15 mph with higher gusts.

Tonight- Clear. Lows in the mid-50s. East winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming north after midnight.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
