0415L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 4/2/25
GARFIELD COUNTY EM is our Preparedness and Warning app. If you don’t have it, you will need it when severe weather, of any kind, comes our way. Download it today!
*THUNDERSTORMS HAVE BEEN THE ISSUE SINCE LAST NIGHT. THE COLD FRONT IS PUSHING THROUGH THE COUNTY AS I TYPE AND AFTER IT MOVES THROUGH, OUR SEVERE THREAT WILL END. The tornado watch will be cancelled as well. There is still a severe warning in place for the eastern part of the county so hang in there and it will be gone within an hour or so.
We did see some fairly large hail and I want to thank those folks again for the pics. Some of those were pretty awesome.
Overall, we did ok except for some large hail. If you have any damage from the hail, be sure to send that in to us or post it on our Facebook page, @EGCEM . Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 70s. West winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
Tonight- Partly cloudy in the evening, then mostly cloudy with a chance of showers after midnight. Lows in the upper 40s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming west after midnight. Chance of rain 50 percent.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
