0405L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK & INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MGMT-4/29/2020

1- No storms today, just windy and warm. Our next chance for any storms appears to be this weekend and that is a maybe at best. The front has brought in drier air and along with it, FIRE DANGER. Yes, a lot has greened up but we are still fairly dry so if you see smoke and fire out there, call 911.

2- Many folks are calling and texting me wondering why they aren’t getting alerts from me. First of all, which alerts are you not getting? I send information out over several networks and to my knowledge everything is working. If you have suddenly stopped receiving anything from us, re-boot your phone first. Remember that your phone is a mini computer and it needs to be rebooted at least a few times each week. Then determine what the cause could be.

3- Our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app updated late last week and if your copy didn’t update, you need to update it as soon as possible. Some folks don’t allow automatic updating so if you are one of those folks, update our app on your phone. It’s actually faster now.

4- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Wednesday- Sunny with a high near 72. Windy with a north northwest wind 15 to 20 mph increasing to 24 to 29 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.

Wednesday Night-Clear, with a low around 45. North wind 6 to 13 mph.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!
