FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-WEDNESDAY AUGUST 2, 2017

Yesterday, we received 1.6 inches of rainfall. If anyone received more or less, please continue to let me know preferably through the “GARFIELD COUNTY EM “app Damage Report icon. Several folks don’t put their names in the blanks so those reports are discarded. Credibility is important. I WILL NEVER POST YOUR NAME WITHOUT PERMISSION so it’s ok to let me know who you are and where you live. Send pictures of rainfall, hail, damage etc. All is appreciated.

A quick rant- I would like to know why folks feel a RED LIGHT at intersections means roll through it. The same at STOP signs. People are very lucky that I don’t have ticket writing capability because I could fund my department.  One of these days, you might hit someone or even get hit by someone else and it may be very costly to you and that other person. Is rolling through the light or sign worth it? Hope not. END of short rant.

We are slowly warming up and with the sun out today and the recent rainfall, it will feel humid out there. Keep the heat related information in your mind since winds will be light. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Wednesday-Areas of fog before 10am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 89. Calm wind becoming north around 6 mph in the morning.Wednesday Night-Mostly clear, with a low around 68. East wind around 6 mph becoming south after midnight.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!
