0315L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 8/07/24
*HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 12 NOON UNTIL 9 PM THIS EVENING. Heat Index values up to 105 or higher are possible.
*Two more days of 100’s and we’ll have a cooler weekend with a chance for rain. High temps starting Friday will be in the 80s and Saturday, we may not get out of the upper 70’s. We’ll see what happens. The cold front that will cause this temporary cool down will move in Thursday, late afternoon, as it appears right now. We’ll take cooler and some rain.
*The Fire Danger is creeping up so use extreme caution if doing any burning. Be sure to call in that burn to dispatch at 580-234-3473.

Today- Sunny, hot with highs around 102. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
Tonight- Mostly clear in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 70s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Heat index values up to 105 early in the evening.
