0300L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 2/26/25
*We have a cold front that will push through the area this morning bringing strong northerly winds with it. Winds could gust upwards of 30-35 mph so secure loose objects in the yard and around the areas where you work. Temps will drop into the lower 60’s today and possibly tomorrow. There is a 40% chance for some rain on Sunday so we’ll see how that works out.
The above said, we are abnormally dry right now and with winds coming up today, controlled burning is NOT ADVISED. The fire danger here is slowly climbing so be careful out there when utilizing anything related to fire, welding, smoking, etc.
Overall, we’ll be ok so here’s your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Partly sunny. Cooler with highs in the lower 60s. North winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
Tonight-Partly cloudy. Lows in the mid-30s. North winds 10 to 15 mph.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
