0333L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-01/18/23

GARFIELD COUNTY EM is our preparedness/notification app. If you don’t have it, you will need it at some point in the future.

1 – Rain is occurring this morning as a storm system approaches from the west. As this system moves northeast, it will give us that opportunity for additional precip through the early morning hours. A cold front will push through later today and bring with it, freezing temps for the overnight periods. The rain we are seeing right now won’t affect our drought condition but we’ll take anything we can get. There may be a few rumbles of thunder but nothing severe is expected.

2- Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Partly sunny with numerous showers this morning, then sunny this afternoon. Highs in the lower 60s. Southeast winds 15 to 20 mph, becoming southwest this afternoon. Chance of rain 70 percent.

Tonight- Mostly clear. Colder with lows around 30. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
