0330L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-7/05/23

* A cold front is SLOWLY moving towards the area. We should begin to see storms this afternoon. We are in a SLIGHT RISK area for severe weather with wind gusts being the main threat along with possibly some hail. Pay close attention to this as the front gets closer this afternoon. We could receive upwards of 1.5 to 2 inches of rainfall by Friday evening.

* Please read the graphics attached carefully. Understand that the lines on the graphics may change a little throughout the day. Either way, it’s going to rain again so use caution if we happen to receive the rainfall that guidance is predicting, especially in the lower lying areas of the county.

Today- Mostly sunny with a slight chance of showers. A slight chance of thunderstorms this morning, then a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon. Highs in the mid-90s. South winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40 percent.

Tonight- Mostly cloudy. A chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then showers and thunderstorms likely after midnight. Humid with lows in the upper 60s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.
