0410L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 6/18/25
MARGINAL RISK FOR SEVERE WEATHER TODAY INTO TONIGHT. NOON UNTIL 11PM
FLOOD WATCH UNTIL 10 AM.
WOW! LAST NIGHT WAS INTERESTING! It’s been quite some time since we had 2 tornado warnings at the same time. These came virtually out of nowhere. I haven’t heard of any injuries from this but there was power pole breaks, tree damage, and some building damage. If you received any damage, take pics and send them to me on the damage report part of our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app or email them to mike@gcem.org or mhonigsberg@enid.org Be sure to give me an address and your phone number.
We do have a chance for severe weather again today DEPENDING on where the boundaries set up this afternoon. They should be south of us but we’ll wait and see.
Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:
Today- Partly sunny with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this morning, then sunny this afternoon. Some thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall this morning. Highs in the upper 80s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
Tonight- Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 60s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming southeast after midnight.
Be sure to download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. NWS warnings and advisories come through automatically IN DETAIL! You’ll receive info from us too!
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
