0330L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 6/26/24

*HEAT ADVISORY* in effect from 11 AM until 9 PM this evening. The HEAT INDEX VALUES UP TO 109 are expected. An excessive heat warning is in effect in areas south, southwest, and east of us. Use caution while working outdoors.

*MARGINAL RISK for possibly severe weather AGAIN this evening. Main risk-Winds & Hail. We will have a better chance for severe weather this weekend when a stronger front pushes into the area.

*The fire danger is up there too so if you see smoke or fire, call 911. I will be posting some 4th of July info along with the LAW on Fireworks here in Enid and Garfield County later today.

Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny, hot with highs around 102. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming northeast 10 to 15 mph this afternoon. Heat index values up to 110 this afternoon.

Tonight- Mostly clear in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Humid with lows in the lower 70s. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Heat index values up to 107 early in the evening.
