FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

Good morning,

A warming trend is coming upon us over the next several days with no rain in sight. The Fire Danger of course will be up and down so continue to be vigilant in keeping an eye out for those idiots who like to intentionally set fires. I would like to see them caught.

We will have our LEPC meeting today at noon at my office and today will be Bring Your Own Lunch Day. I will have BOTTLED water so if you want something else, bring it with you.

Next TUESDAY on the 21st, we will host the NWS with a Spotter Class. This class is 2 hours and will give 2 CEU’S for law enforcement. This is open to the public and you are welcome to attend. We will have this class in the Sheriff’s training room at 216 West Oxford. This class is mandatory for NEW spotters within our organization and could be an opportunity for you to step into a position with us. Class starts at 6:30pm

Finally, download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app if you want to keep up with warnings from not only the NWS, but our WARNING TEAM here in Garfield County.

Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
