FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

Get ready, the winds will blow today. Allergy sufferer? I would advise that you stay inside as much as possible. Fire starter? We will find you. After seeing a few posts from folks in Grant County, I think we have that same person setting fires here too. Can wait until he, she, or they are caught.

That said, we will be warming up over the next several days and we may be looking at temps in the mid 80’s over the weekend. Don’t be deceived, winter is not totally over yet so you can put the coats and jackets on the hook for now but stay up with the forecasts. By the way, we will have a front push through later tonight or early tomorrow.

As stated yesterday, download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app if you want to keep up with warnings from the NWS and our WARNING TEAM here in Garfield County. Our new preparedness guides are almost done and I included several new pages to help you all learn the app. I will let you know when they are completed.

Here is your forecast for Thursday;
Sunny with highs near 72. South winds 10 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.
Tonight’s low around 52. South winds 10 to 15 mph gusting to possibly 25 mph.

HAVE A SUPER DAY!!
MIKE
