0330L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 03/15/23

* TONIGHT: STORM SPOTTER TRAINING, Open to the Public: will be held at 216 West Oxford, at 6:30 pm. Training will be held in the Sheriff’s training room. Come in the front door on the south side of the building.

*WINDS will be our nemesis today as we can expect wind gusts upwards of 40 mph. We ask that NO CONTROLLED BURNING take place today or on Friday as winds will cause major problems. If you see smoke or fire, call 911 so the proper response can be sent.

* Overall, we’ll be ok, just a little windblown. Here’s your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Wednesday- Mostly sunny and windy. Highs in the mid-60s. South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

Wednesday Night- Mostly cloudy and very windy. Not as cool with lows in the mid-50s. South winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
