0331L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 03/06/24

*Slight chance for some light fog around the area this morning. This will give way to mostly sunny skies later today. Thursday, we “could “see some rain activity. Not holding my breath yet but hopefully it does occur. Thursday evening we may actually have to deal with heavy thunderstorms. We’ll wait and see on this one for now.

*The Fire Danger remains low BUT be careful if you decide to do a controlled burn and also make sure the edges of your burn are completely out as the danger will become elevated to near critical Sunday and Monday.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Tonight-Mostly cloudy. A chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Lows in the upper 40s. East winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40 percent.

*Finally, STOP SIGNS, including the poles are being stolen out in the county area. If you see ANY SUSPICIOUS activity, call the Sheriff’s office.
