0340L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-5/25/22
1- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Wednesday-Cloudy. A CHANCE of showers and thunderstorms in the morning, then showers and thunderstorms LIKELY in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 50s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of rain 60 percent.
Wednesday Night-Cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the lower 50s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.
2- With the above said, expect showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and this evening. Not as much rainfall today and tonight as we had on Tuesday. The upper low system that has caused this mess will move over our area today and tonight and exit the region later on Thursday. I hoped you enjoyed the cool weather. Temps in the 90’s return by Sunday.
3- I received 2.5 inches of rainfall at home and 3.25 at work from late Monday through Tuesday. What were your totals? Let me know.
FINALLY- I can’t stress the MOSQUITO issue that will increase dramatically when we warm back up. Do what you can to mitigate the problem by dumping standing water. Repellents work well too. Just stay aware.
UPDATED GRAPHICS WEREN’T AVAILABLE FROM NWS/NORMAN AT THE TIME OF THIS POST
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
