0350L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 5/28/25

SLIGHT RISK for severe weather later today into the overnight hours. This risk may increase to an ENHANCED RISK depending on atmospheric trends per guidance from the STORM PREDICTION CENTER. By the time storms from Colorado/NW Kansas arrive to our area, they would most likely be in a bowing segment meaning our main threat would be high winds. We’ll see how things work out as the day progresses.

Today- Mostly cloudy this morning, then becoming partly sunny. A 20 percent chance of showers. Highs in the mid-70s. Northeast winds around 5 mph, becoming southeast this afternoon.

Tonight- Showers likely with a slight chance of thunderstorms in the evening, then showers with a chance of thunderstorms after midnight. Lows in the upper 50s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 90 percent.
