0305L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 5/7/25

We are in a GENERAL THUNDERSTORM RISK AREA for today. The severe weather threat is pretty low right now. We will most likely see rain as we did yesterday but there is a chance to hear some thunder later today too. We’ll have to wait and see. For the most part, all this mess should end Friday and the weekend looks pretty good. The ground will be sloshy but at least we’ll see clear skies.

Overall, we’ll be ok. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:

Today- Patchy fog this morning. Showers likely. A slight chance of thunderstorms this morning and this afternoon. Highs in the upper 60s. South winds around 5 mph, becoming southwest this afternoon. Chance of rain 70 percent.

Tonight- Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Lows in the lower 50s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

If you are traveling east or south today, check road conditions at your destination before you leave. Make sure roads are ok.
