0245L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 5/8/25

Once again, we are in a GENERAL THUNDERSTORM RISK area for today. Chances of anything happening are low at roughly 20% but if any storms do get going later today, winds and hail would be the only issues and storms would dissipate after sundown by losing afternoon heating. Don’t change any plans, just stay weather aware.

Overall, we’ll be ok. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:

Today- Mostly sunny. Patchy fog this morning. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Highs in the lower 70s. North winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight- Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 50s. North winds 5 to 10 mph.
