WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-10/18/23

*A front will traverse the area today but won’t really affect temps very much, just a wind shift. This should happen around noon to 2 pm give or take. After frontal passage, winds will become NNW 10-15 mph. No precip is expected.

*On average this week, temps will range from 75 to 85 degrees, dew point temps will range in the low to mid 40s, and relative humidity will range from the mid-20s to the mid-30s. We expect a few wind shifts due to fronts but winds really won’t ramp up with gusts into the 20s and 30s until Saturday. We’ll see what happens.

*The Fire Danger is slowly climbing so use extreme caution while working with anything related to fire. Call 9-1-1, if you see smoke or fire so the proper response can be sent.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Wednesday- Sunny. Highs in the upper 70s. Southwest winds around 10 mph, becoming northwest in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night- Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 40s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
