0310L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-10/19/23

*As stated in past posts, temps this week will hover around 80 and lows around 50 or so. Several troughs will move through with varying windshifts but nothing dramatic until Sunday when wind gusts will increase out of the south due to an inbound storm system. We do have a chance for rain, per guidance, starting early Tuesday. We’ll see what happens there.

*The Fire Danger is increasing so use extreme caution while working with anything related to fire. Call 9-1-1, if you see smoke or fire.

*Even though we have warmed back up, you all know that winter will suddenly appear and when it arrives, it will be abrupt. Take the time to get ready while it’s warm outside so you don’t have to fight it after we get cold. It’s always best to prepare under good conditions instead of waiting until the storm begins.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny. Highs around 80. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight- Clear. Lows around 50. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming northwest after midnight.

*Be sure to download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. Your not prepared without it.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
