0405L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK & INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-10/2/19

1- MARGINAL RISK for severe thunderstorms later today and possibly into the evening and overnight hours. If storms do occur, winds and hail along with torrential rainfall will be the main threats. Depending on storm training and the forecast precipitable water index we could possibly see a few inches of rainfall. As stated before, torrential rainfall in low lying areas could cause flash flooding so pay attention while driving if this occurs. We’ll see how this mess comes together. Otherwise; warm and humid. It will be cooler on Thursday but that will be short lived.

2- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Wednesday- Partly cloudy. 20% chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 80s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph.

Wednesday Night-Mostly cloudy with showers likely and a slight chance of thunderstorms. Cooler with lows in the mid-50s. South winds around 10 mph shifting to the north after midnight. Chance of precipitation 70 percent.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!!
