0330L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-9/22/21

1- At 0315 its 48 degrees outside moving towards a high in the mid to upper 70s later this afternoon. No rain in sight for possibly the next 6 days or so. There are a few variations in forecasts around the region but we’ll see how they verify as the week moves forward. Mostly clear days and nights so enjoy this while we can. It can always be worse.

2- The above said, here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Sunny. Highs in the upper 70s. Light and variable winds becoming north around 10 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight-Clear. Lows in the upper 40s. Light and variable winds.

3- The FIRE DANGER continues to slowly climb so use extreme caution doing anything related to fire.

INFORMATION- For those that know and understand what the preparedness process is, I would take the time we have with this good weather and fix those air leaks around doors and windows, figure out what you need to do with that leaky faucet outside, and do whatever else you need to fix before the cold of winter arrives. By then, it may be too late and you’ll suffer in the cold to get those things fixed. Do them while it’s nice and you can enjoy the warmth knowing YOU prepared properly.

STAY SAFE
